A special double-bill! First, an intimate musical evening with internationally acclaimed pianist Jenny Lin, this year’s distinguished guest artist. Hear her perform new works by composers from all over the world: Randy Hostetler, Valentin Silvestrov, Arthur Kampela, Steven Stucky. Joining Ms. Lin will be our very own WSO String Quintet and Dutch-American painter Luc Leestemaker for the Canadian permiere of Vincent Ho’s Four Paintings by Leestemaker, inspired by four of Luc’s works.

Next is our special presentation of Tim Brady’s My 20th Century. Straight from a highly successful Canadian tour, Mr. Brady’s multi-media concert combines theatre, music and video in a virtuoso performance, presenting an extraordinary vision of the history and art of the past century. The work focuses on four seminal figures - John Lennon, Charlie Christian, Rosa Luxemburg and Dmitri Shostakotich - and how their lives affected art, politics and human society over the past 100 years.
